Can You Message Me receives messages from servers behind the firewall. For example, if you are operating an intranet site, with no outside access, Can You Message Me can be your link to the outside world. Messages can be prepared (totally controlled by the Server team) and sent to the specified outside users of Can You Message Me. No router or firewall changes need to be made. No forwarding needs to be enabled, no ports need to be opened up. All transfer of messages is secure. No information is stored on any outside file system or database. Specific messages can be sent to specific users. The users can specify not to receive them. Can You Message Me can receive multiple messages from multiple servers. Users of Can You Message Me can submit responses, which can be used in whatever way the Server team desires, including basing future messages on the responses.

The app is intended to facilitate the sending of Messages to persons from a Server system to authorized recipients. So, lets say the authorized members of the Server Team want to inform authorized system users of the system status or let authorized recipient users know some information. Once the recipient users tell the Server Team their specific user ID (by email), the Server Team can set up the ongoing Messages to be sent to the User. For example, Supervisor A may want to know the number of hits a particular server is getting per hour. The Server Team can then set up the ongoing Message to Supervisor A which keeps that bit of information updated. Another example would be to let Supervisor B get sales information, e.g., sales of widget C or widget D, by entering a C or D at the app response screen.
